One of my Ultimate “Tater-tot-Casserole” February 8, 2012

One of my many comfort foods is tater-tot-casserole, and when I say one of many I mean one of Ultimate. I grew up with a lot of homemade cooking, and tater-tot-casserole is my favorite. My mom uses a very but old style way of making it and these are the instructions and ingredients.

Cooking time: 60min-75min


1.1-5 lb. hamburger

2. A can of crème of mushroom

3. Bag of tater-tots

4. Shredded sharp cheddar cheese

5. 2 small cans of green beans (whole)

6. Square deep dish baking pan


Brown the hamburger, drain the grease. Mix the can(s) of crème of mushroom in with the hamburger in a medium sized bowl. Spray the bottom of the pan with non-stick cooking spray. Now layer down the tater-tots at the bottom of the pan. Layer the hamburger mixture in on top of the tater-tots, drain the can of green beans and layer them on top of the hamburger. Keep layering the food on top of each other until you almost reach the top of your pan. Whenyou do the toppart of the casserole should be just tater-tots. The cooking time should. About half way through the cooking process put the shredded cheese on top of the tater-tots. Once the casserole is down the cheese should be melted almost golden brown and the tater-tots should be soft. I hope this recipe is easy and uncomplicated without a lot of ingredients to have a great big supper
